Thanks to the abundant wildlife, rolling hills and magnificent hill country sunsets, the country setting of the town is a nature lover’s paradise. At the same time, residents enjoy easy access to all of the amenities that the downtown Austin area has to offer.

From a multitude of dining and shopping opportunities to a variety of cultural attractions and recreational opportunities, the capitol city of Austin is more than just a city filled with employment opportunities. At the same time, for those who are looking for the quieter side of life, Dripping Springs offers the perfect reprieve.

With nearly 20,000 residents, the town of Dripping Springs features a number of different neighborhoods to choose from. From the equestrian neighborhood of The Polo Club to the master planned community of Belterra, there is certain to be a neighborhood to suit virtually anyone’s taste. With homes ranging in price from under $300,000 to more than $1,000,000, there is also sure to be a home in Dripping Springs to suit anyone’s budget.

For those with a family, the town offers a safe and friendly environment for raising children. The local markets and festivals provide plenty of family bonding opportunities, while the top-rated school system serving the community guarantees the children will receive a quality education. The Dripping Springs Independent School District is central to the town and includes five different campuses.

Numerous recreational opportunities also abound within and near to the town.. Founders Park, for example, is home to the community swimming pool as well play and picnic areas. Thanks to cooperative efforts between the Texas Park & Wildlife Department, the city and the school district, the park also features a playscape for young children as well as a sports complex with softball, baseball and soccer fields.

Residents of Dripping Springs also enjoy easy access to Milton Reimers Ranch Park, which is a pristine parkland featuring nearly three miles of frontage along Pedernales River as well as plenty of open space and reserve land to enjoy. As the largest parkland acquisition in the history of Travis County, Milton Reimers Ranch Park is a popular destination for fishermen, rock climbers and mountain bikers.

Of course, the original “dripping springs” can also be found in the town near the west end of Mercer Street. Marked by a granite marker that was donated by the D.S. Noon Lion’s club, the springs once served as a gathering place for Indians as well as a source of water for the settlers who originally settled the area. With so many natural attractions combined with its proximity to the downtown Austin area, it is easy to see why so many are drawn to the charming town of Dripping Springs.
